October is such an exciting time of year! The leaves have started to change color, and you’re guaranteed to smell a pumpkin spice latte every time you make a trip to Target. Most importantly, you’re probably looking forward to Halloween. Between pumpkin carving and trick-or-treating, there are nearly endless activities you can do with your family this time of year. Here are a few of our favorites:
Carving pumpkins is so much fun, but can be very dangerous for little ones. Head to your local craft store and grab some felt, pipe cleaners and googly eyes! Your kids will be able to use their creativity to make cute creatures like these!
Trick-or-treater’s will love these ghost lollipops! Maybe you are having a Halloween party, or perhaps your kiddo wants to share something special with their classmates? These are easy and so much fun to make. Buy a bunch of lollipops, a box of tissues and some festive ribbon! The eyes are easily made with a sharpie marker.
This is an easy one that children love! All you need is a mini Hershey Bar, a ghost Peep, a graham cracker and you are good to go! If you don’t want to mess with fire, put them in the microwave for 15 seconds.
Want to make your kids a Halloween dinner that’s finger-lickin’ good? This scary supper will surely raise eyebrows. This meal is affordable, quick, and will fill the kiddos up before a long night of trick-or-treating. All you need are hot dogs, buns, and blood (or ketchup).
We had to throw some health food in here. How adorable are these tiny pumpkins! The best part is that you will need just 2 ingredients! Stick a piece of celery in a peeled tangerine, and voilà!
Now that the kids are busy with these fun activities, it’s time for you to relax. Grab yourself a glass of vampire blood (or Cabernet Sauvignon) and sit outside by a warm fire. One thing’s for sure, these homeowners will be passing out candy in style.
