Are you looking to build an ultimate outdoor living space for your Backyard Makeover? These Shawnee homeowners nailed it! Their standard contractor grade patio was swapped out for a stunning two tiered paver patio.
Not only did they trade in the old concrete slab, they also added a variety of elements such as a covered structure, planter box, columns and even a fire pit!
The pavers that we used for this project are called Dublin Cobble in the shade Fossil Beige. We accented the perimeter of the patio with the same pavers in a darker shade, Black Diamond.
The stone that we used for the fire pit, planter, and columns is Belgard’s Weston Wall in the shade Brittany Beige.
Oh, and did you hear? Hardscape projects look best when you’re drinking a beer! 😉
The covered structure portion of this project, is definitely a highlight! The beautiful cedar beams bring a natural rustic feel to the space. Notice the paver steps that extend into the yard.
Mrs. homeowner sure has a green thumb. She really wanted to incorporate a planter of some kind into the patio design. This planter is awesome because it separates the dining space of the patio from the fire pit area. Not to mention! The beautiful greenery adds a special something to the space!
The planter also serves as a seating wall for these adorable cuties!
Mr. homeowner enjoys grilling out on his beautiful new patio!
Check out the design that our Senior Hardscape Designer, Ken Gibson, put together! This provides a great aerial view of the overall layout of the design. Can you believe he free-handed this? Ken definitely has a great vision for residential backyard makeovers! Notice the area for phase two of the project – a future grill station!
