To begin this month’s blog, we want to let everyone know that Hinkle Hardscapes has been approved to continue working throughout the “Stay-at-Home” ordinance. In order to comply with the CDC’s social distancing guidelines, we will now be conducting our design consultations over video chat. The process will remain exactly the same. Your designer will work with you to create the perfect plan and budget for your space; it will just occur over video conference rather than in-person.
On the bright side, quarantining presents the perfect opportunity to begin an outdoor living project. You would be home to oversee construction, you would be upgrading your home to prepare for the impending economic boom, and having a backyard space would offer some reprieve from being stuck inside all day. If you’re ready to get the ball rolling on the yard of your dreams, follow these steps.
Step 1: Give us a call at 816-608-8870 or book an appointment on our website to schedule a free consultation with one of our designers.
Step 2: We’ll discuss your backyard goals over video chat and develop the perfect plan for your space. Our 3D imaging software will create a model of the finished product, so you’ll know exactly what you have to look forward to.
Step 3: Sit back and relax as our team of professionals brings your vision to life.
Backyard Transformation
Needing some inspiration for your makeover? Check out our dramatic transformation of this Overland Park family’s backyard.
When we first visited their property, the vegetation was so overgrown that they couldn’t enjoy their existing patio or gazebo. We removed their old swing set, cleared out some trees and bushes, and leveled the grade of the yard to make room for a new patio with plenty of entertainment features.
For the upper tier underneath the deck, we extended the existing patio using Laffit Rustic Slab pavers in the color Aspen. We matched the seating wall to the grill station and deck posts using a random height stone veneer. Finally, on each corner, two rounded steps lead down to the lower level.
This slate gray stamped-concrete patio is an entertainer’s dream. An LED water feature acts as the centerpiece, separating a Mountain Ridge fire pit with blue accent pieces and open space for patio furniture or a dining table.
Here’s another view of the lower level patio. From this perspective, you can see the built-in bench behind the fire pit. The gazebo sits to the right, providing a shaded sitting area.
A grand patio calls for a grand entryway, and these rough cedar pergolas do just that. The outer walls, as well as the fire pit, are built from anchor blocks in the color Oxford.
Outdoor lighting is the finishing touch, guaranteeing that the patio can be enjoyed day and night.
It’s time that you have a gorgeous, functional, and long-lasting outdoor living area of your own. Now would be the perfect time to get started. If you’re ready for a transformation, give us a call at (816) 608-8870 or book an appointment on our website. We can’t wait to help you actualize your dream backyard!
